• Do you want to make a difference by combating economic crime and criminal economy?

• Do you want to work in a flexible organization that values innovation, responsibility, and a holistic perspective?
If so, the post-control operations at the Swedish Customs might be for you!
The operational activities of the Swedish Customs are divided into four departments: the Control Department, the Revenue Department, the Intelligence Department, and the Customs Crime Department.
The Revenue Department has a broad mandate within three operational areas: post-control, revenue monitoring, and permits. The operational work of the Revenue Department is conducted within four geographical units: north, south, west, and east. These units collaborate nationally and work on the entire department's mission.
The Revenue Department is responsible for ensuring that the correct customs duties and other fees are charged for goods entering and leaving the country, as well as for monitoring compliance with import and export regulations.
About the position
The position of customs auditor is located at the Revenue Department of the Swedish Customs. As a customs auditor, you will conduct post-controls and investigate whether companies comply with the conditions required for correct customs handling, that companies have reported correct customs duties and other fees, and that goods are not imported/exported in violation of import and export restrictions. The organization also has a clear focus on combating organized crime and criminal economy.
The investigations are conducted in the form of customs audits or post-reviews (desk controls) where you review the documentation underlying the company's import and export activities, e.g., accounting, calculations, customs documents, and procedure descriptions. In your work, you will handle and analyze large data sets using analytical tools. The audit work includes visits to the audited company, so travel is part of the job.
In addition to audit work, you are also expected to engage in improvement work and take responsibility for various assignments.
The customs auditors at the Swedish Customs work in teams where they share responsibility for planning and executing tasks. In your role as a customs auditor, you will also collaborate with colleagues in other departments within the Swedish Customs but will also have contacts outside the Swedish Customs with both companies and authorities.
